charles is generally a very physical person, so if he likes you, chances are he's also going to be touching you. as for mental contact, he doesn't have any abilities like that, and will hate it if you poke into his head!
Flirting/Affection:
yes, he will flirt with you casually, and won't mind being flirted with. and while he's a friendly guy (who, in fact, takes pride in people liking him easily), he only shows his affection to those he's close with.
Fighting:
absolutely, he's a brawler and
will relish the chance to hit something with his cricket bat.
Injury/Death:
ghosts can't really be injured except with specific things (like iron and cat scratches), and he's already dead, so, you know.
