i am sure you have noticed it but it is almost christmas, charles. i plan on decorating the church located near the outskirts appropriately and would like your assistance on it.

[Well, that makes two of them, then. Richard's own tie to church is based on both fear and shame. He's never quite felt welcomed at the house of god, feeling that his presence was trespassing at the best and crime at the worst. But still, he kept looking up, silently hoping for the validation that would never come.]

i have already requested from one of the chosen. he will be providing the tree and other plants. i would like you to go out to market and see if you could find ornaments and other suitable decorations. maybe you could take your other half with you too.

i will pay for it, of course.

back in England i had a man under my service. his skin was different from anyone else and people would say that he carried the blood of travelers. but he was the most honest and loyal man i had ever met. he used to take care of me when i was but a child.
